She said: "I remember learning my love of fashion and design from my grandmother. She had six children and loved making her own things on the sewing machine, which gave me a good grounding in pattern cutting and how outfits are put together.

"Knowing how to sew is a godsend when it comes to personalising outfits. Being petite and curvy, I often need to shorten things and get them nipped in. Kylie's a much better sewer than me."

Following her gig as brand ambassador for US beauty label Mark, the Twilight actress has bagged another lucrative modeling job as the face of Donna Karan New York.
